BeachBody on Demand Day 8: Week 1 Review

Day 8 - Week 1 Review

I decided to take today off, as I’m getting together with family soon, plus I exercised for 7 days in a row – more than I’ve done in a long time!

So I just wanted to do a quick review of the first week of BeachBody on Demand.

What I loved:

  • I really, really enjoyed the P90X3 MMX workout. I can definitely see myself doing that again soon, and so far is my favorite workout I’ve done.
  • I love that I can pick a workout based on my mood – as well as how much time I have that day. There are so many to choose from, I know I haven’t even gone through a fraction of them.
  • I feel like I’ve gotten good workouts every day.
  • I like that I can do them on any platform. I’ve been doing the routines on my Roku in my living room, but I love the idea that if I’m on vacation or don’t want to bother with the TV, I can use my laptop or something else.

What I haven’t loved:

  • It can be time consuming to find a workout if you don’t really know what you want and are just searching around. I have spent 5-10 minutes some mornings just going through different products trying to find something that I wanted to do.
  • Their search really sucks. I have tried the “30 minutes or less” search a few times because I almost always want something that’s about a half an hour or less…and while it does give me some, I have found that there are more than twice the amount shown when you look around yourself. So it’s missing a lot of workouts that I could have done. Which brings me back to the first statement – that it’s time consuming to search for a workout when you don’t really know what you want to do.
  • You don’t REALLY know how long the workout will take. I mean, they give you the time…but very few include the cooldown as part of it. So if you have 20 minutes, and choose something for 20 minutes, you could end up spending 22 minutes on it. While that might not sound like a lot, when you really don’t have a lot of time in the morning (or whenever you’re working out), it can be a pain.

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed the first week of BeachBody on Demand, and am looking forward to finding some new workouts to try starting tomorrow!
