BeachBody on Demand Day 1: P90X3 MMX

Day 1 - P90X3 - MMX

For Day 1, we decided to try the P90X3 MMX.  I had wanted something that wasn’t too long, and looked interesting.

Duration: 30 minutes + ~2:20 cooldown.

It was a lot of fun, but boy did I get a workout!

It was the first time I’ve done any exercise like this. I’ve done P90, but this is completely different.

I love that it’s only a half of an hour. I love that it doesn’t seem I’m doing things that are hard to do….but I have to say I wasn’t able to keep up.

Since it was the first time I’ve done this, I had a really hard time following along…but it was still fun to try!

And even not being 100% able to follow along (there are a lot of combination moves, which he says while he does them AND is also on the screen), I still got an incredible workout, and felt like I was having fun.

Now that I just finished (I wanted to write this before I forgot anything!) I am still sweating, but feel like I just had a fun half hour.

I’m sweating more with this than with T25.

We usually do T25 about every other day, and we don’t do the T25 at full intensity, but even doing this at half intensity it was a great workout.

I love that Tony gives breaks every so often. It’s nice to get a drink and not feel like I’m missing out.

I know that once I catch on to the move combinations, It’ll be even better and I’ll be able to keep up more – a lot of the reason I couldn’t keep up was because I didn’t know the combination moves, not because I was exhausted.

The one thing I didn’t like?  Even though the warm up was included in the 25 minutes, the cooldown was not.  So instead of a half of an hour from start to finish, it was more like 32 minutes and 20 seconds.

Of course it seems all of the workouts are like this, so it’s not anything I shouldn’t expect.

Day 1 was definitely a success though, and I will come back to do MMX again after I’ve tried some of the other workouts.
