Explore Alaska Bears (and many, many other Animals!)

Explore.org Bears

I want to share something I absolutely love doing, especially when I’m a little bit stressed or not as happy as I want to be in the spring or summer.

I go to explore.org and watch the bears! It’s SO relaxing, and it just makes me happy. I don’t know why, but it does. Did I mention that it’s live? So you can see what is going on right now!

The bears are in Katmai National Park in Alaska, and there are multiple cameras. There is also a camera operator, so if nothing is going on in the screen, they’ll move the camera to something more exciting.

In the spring and summer, there are often many bears (including some with their bear cubs) out trying to catch some fish. It’s really fun to watch!

If you’re not into bears, or if it’s the wrong time of the year, don’t worry.

There are a TON of other cameras you can watch, and they’re all very entertaining as well. Here are just a few of the different live cams that you can watch:

  • cats, dogs, owls, tigers, eagles,
  • beluga whales, puffins, penguins,
  • chipmunks, bison, bees, fish, lions,
  • polar bears, panda bears, elephants,
  • …and more! There are over 100 live cams!

I find it fun to put in the corner of my screen while I’m doing other things on my laptop. You can use any device to watch, and of course it’s free. Just pick your favorite animal, and as long as it’s their season, you can watch them live!
