Last weekend I went to the Jersey Shore outlets.
I had no idea that the middle of July was such a great time to buy clothes, but almost every store I went into had really good deals.
The best deal of the day for me was at Soma.
They are having a sale, and had an additional 50% off all sale items.
It also seemed that many of the items were really a lower price than the marked down ticket said.
I had thought I was happy when I saw how much I’d be spending, and then when it rang up it was even lower!

The retail price on the nightgowns were as follows: $40 for the short sleeves, $42 for the 3/4 sleeves.
They were marked down to $24.99 and $26.99 respectively. So after the additional 50% off, I thought I’d be paying $12.50 and $13.50.
Since I had a coupon for $10 off my purchase, and a rewards coupon for $5 that could be used together, I expected my total to be $11, which is incredible for 2 nightgowns from Soma.
So I was beyond shocked when my total came to $2.98. Yes, that is not a typo. Two dollars and ninety eight cents. Under $3 for two really nice nightgowns.
After looking at the long receipt, I saw that the nightgowns were marked down to $19.99 and $15.99 respectively. They just hadn’t updated the tags. So once they took 50% off of that, and then my $15 worth of coupons left, the $2.98 was all that was left.
I’m still in shock almost a week later!
I don’t know if you know much about Soma, but they have really nice high quality items. But they’re usually at an equally high quality price. So I was beyond thrilled with my purchase.
What I learned out of this though is that when items are marked down, and then they have an additional percent off, you really never know what the final price will be!
It was definitely the deal of the day though, and I am still happy and excited by it.
Soma is still having a sale (online at least for sure) where their markdowns are up to 50% off.
I like looking online at the different sale sections and sorting by price so I can find out what the really great deals are!
